Envy – A Perpetrator in a Pear Tree. A retired judge has been murdered in a locked tower room. Its only window is too narrow for anyone to enter. The local constable has arrested the son, who was known to have argued with his father and whose knife appears to be the murder weapon. But how was it done?
Pride – The Etherege Escapade. Scotland Yard calls in Holmes on a kidnapping case. However, Holmes finds the evidence suspect. When pieces of the victim’s clothing are found on the banks of the Thames the case takes on a more sinister aspect.
Wrath – The Game at Checquers. After the Great War, a leading family donated a country estate for the use of the Prime Minister. Mycroft Holmes has requested his brother to come out of retirement and conduct an examination of security measures to ensure the safety of the leader of the United Kingdom. What he finds is deadly.
Greed – The Merchant Mogul. Abraham Loew was kidnapped and found dead after the ransom was paid. Holmes is hired to find the culprit and determine if it was a kidnapping gone bad or really a planned murder all along.
Lust- The Stage Door Pirates. Actresses are being targeted more aggressively than normal, including kidnap attempts. A former client calls on Holmes to stop the culprits.
Gluttony- The Final Morsel. A gourmet food critic has been threatened due to his bad reviews. Will he heed Holmes’ warning or succumb to his last meal?
Sloth- The Writer’s Block. A novice playwright is missing and his fiancée fears he has been killed and his latest work stolen. Is she being over-dramatic?
